We had unexpected company yesterday. Tomi and her daughter Mio came with another friend. They took a stroll on the beach and then we had lunch: pasta and homemade bread with fresh salad from Hiroo’s garden!

Glad to see Mio all grown up!

Glad to see Mio all grown up!

I was glad to see Mio as I hadn’t seen her since she was little! She’ll be in the sixth grade when the new term starts in April! She has growninto a nice young lady and didn’t mind helping with weeding the vegetable patch!

Good helpers!

Teppei is interested in growing vegetables so he promised to come back and help Hiroo! Hiroo was very happy about that!

Tomi took home some vegetables ( carrots, wakegi, greens ) as well as dried kikurage and red peppers. She was excited to find this yomogi to put in bread or o-dango.
